Swede 55 offers a mix of interesting up wind performance, fast voyages to remote destinations and tranquillity somewhere out on the water.

In summer 08 we went in a few days from the german seaboard to Gothenburg at the west coast of Sweden, partly reaching with an average speed of ten knots. Often leaving the port a little later in the morning and arriving around 4 p.m.

Berthing then at a skerry in the swedish archipelago, breathing the smell of the firs, listening to the water quietly washing around the rocks of the skerries makes quite a contrast to fast and sometimes wet sailing. A memorable experience.
