Swede 55 offers interesting up wind performance, fast voyages to remote destinations and tranquillity somewhere out on the water.

In summer 08 we went in a few days from the german seaboard to Gothenburg at the west coast of Sweden, partly reaching with an average speed of ten knots. Often leaving the port a little later in the morning and arriving somewhat earlier in the afternoon.

Berthing then at a skerry in the swedish archipelago, breathing the smell of the firs, listening to the water softly washing around the rocks makes a nice contrast to fast and occasionally wet sailing.
